Wooden Car Faster Than a Porsche?
Graduate students at North Carolina State University have made a wooden car that has a top speed of 240mph. At that speed this car can go faster than a Porsche or Lamborghini. With the 4.6 liter V8 engine this car is 300bph more then the Porsche 911 GT3. Wood has a higher strength-to-weight ratio than aluminum or steel so it makes the car go faster. And instead of using one piece of wood, the car is made out of moulded laminates. Maybe this is the future of the automobile industry?

Wow! That's so interesting. It seems that it would be very different to have cars made out of wood. I don't know if this would be the perfect solution, but at least they are trying new things. I want to look this up so I can see a picture of a wooden car.
